NEWS: Twins make appearance in documentary premiere Route 2015

Sierra Leone is among the 8 regions that documentary maker Martijn Poels visited for is project Route 2015, which will premiere on March 4th in the Stadstheater Agora, Flevoland.

The Sierra Leone episode tells the story of a baby that is born in conditions that midwives in Sierra Leone face on a daily basis. Dutch midwive Carla Belonja and Sierra Leone midwife Gladys Johnson are the twins that are filmed by Martijn Poels.

About us:

  • We strive to reduce the number of women and children dying during childbirth.
  • Dutch and Sierra leone midwives support each other as twins.

The movie: in 2011 twinning midwives meet at the International Conference of Midwives in Durban, South Africa.
